Title: Software Engineer - Manager

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 2 year contract

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Analyze, debug, and create solutions for legacy AFS and new S4 SAP systems.
  • Develop code, configure applications, and design high-risk, complex job schedules.
  • Install software and critical updates for essential systems.
  • Approve and review designs, conduct code reviews, and execute code deployments.
  • Review and validate test plans and executions to ensure robust system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and design systems.
  • Provide application support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems.
  • Manage technical aspects of RFP processes and provide budget input for engineering tasks.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Create and maintain technical and design documents aligned with business requirements and corporate standards.
  • Drive decisions with vendors on standards, solutions, and overall direction.
  • Contribute to database design and develop critical-path, advanced technical solutions.
  • Conduct performance monitoring and recommend tuning/optimization opportunities.
  • Develop and execute performance tests and implement remediation plans.
  • Apply governance, security, and global process standards to system changes and deployments.
  • Establish and maintain coding standards and best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive expertise as a business/process leader or industry expert.
  • Proficiency in one or more Hot Skill Technologies (Java, .NET, SAP, PeopleSoft, See Beyond).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing high-risk, complex systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across global teams.
  • Ability to influence vendor decisions and drive solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization.
  • A strong focus on aligning technical solutions with business requirements.
