Title: Data Scientist/Architect - Principal 

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 2 months contract

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Develop efficient and scalable database architectures aligned to business requirements
  • Create logical and physical data models, defining data relationships and rules
  • Ensure data models support current and anticipated analytics use cases
  • Optimize data models for performance, scalability and maintainability
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal DBMS technologies and tools
  • Implement database performance improvement strategies
  • Migration: Review current Snowflake-based product layouts, recommend migration strategies, schema conversion, performance tuning, and ensure data consistency and backward compatibility strategies.
  • Integrate security best practices into database architecture
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, analytics and business teams

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of experience designing enterprise database solutions
  • Expertise with Python, SQL, Databricks and Snowflake
  • Experience setting up Databricks environments and developing data pipelines
  • Cluster setup (Schemas, Stages, Volumes, etc)
  • Delta sharing (CSV, tableau, SaaS solutions)
  • Unity Catalog policies
  • RBAC
  • Data Governance & Compliance policies
  • Data Lineage
  • Different Teams
  • Service Principals
  • CI-CD
  • Strong data modeling and query optimization skills
  • Design efficient Data models
  • Apply Medallion Architecture
  • Query optimization
  • Workflow orchestration (Brickflow, Notebooks).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
