WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) Analyst to join our team and work onsite at one of our North America Logistic Centers. This person is relied upon to be able to troubleshoot, perform vendor escalations, and provide analytics for the systems that perform the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) functions within the distribution center. This includes working with the infrastructure and maintenance on the warehouse Cobots as necessary. Our best WCS analysts have a broad knowledge of all IT disciplines, are highly competent in SQL and have a strong mechanical aptitude. They are problem solvers that are organized, flexible and able to prioritize work independently.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • You will troubleshoot and communicate effectively on varying degrees of production support incidents involving WCS applications and Robots with the goal of minimizing downtime and impact to Nike’s revenue.
  • You will ensure standards, processes and policies are adhered to within the department.
  • Monitor the WCS ServiceNow Ticket queue during their shift to provide 24x7 incident and Service Request resolutions.
  • Tackle issues impacting the flow of data/messages between warehouse management system, warehouse control system and MHE systems to mitigate impact to the DC operations flow.
  • Ensure the integrity of WCS by performing release testing and health checks.
  • Participate in the application of system patches, security patches and third-party updates to maintain systems at a high level of performance, availability and security Liaise with other Production Support Team members to resolve support calls.
  • Respond to any emergency situations that arise to ensure the service is restored as quickly as possible
  • Monitor and ensure service requests are closed in a timely manner.
  • You will provide input with regard to incident, change and problem management.
  • You will communicate suggestions for improvement to standards, policies, and procedures.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will report to the Manager of North America Technical Services WCS. You will work closely with your Warehouse Management System (WMS) counterparts to investigate systems integration incidents between the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and the Warehouse Control System (WCS). You will also have direct interactions with Logistic Center employees and management responding to product routing issues and service requests. Cross-collaborative partnerships will be cultivated across multiple business units including operations, maintenance, IT and 3rd-party vendor partners.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or IT-related subject area or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting databases and systemic side of Warehouse Controls systems, preferred
  • 2+ years Knowledge of warehouse management systems in lieu of WCS/MHE applications
  • 1+ years SQL experience preferred
  • Technical skills including TCP/IP networking and operating systems
  • Comfortable working around motorized equipment
  • Schedule flexibility for supporting a 24x7 environment
