Creative & Product Lead (Apparel)

We are seeking a superstar Creative & Product Lead to drive the development of collections and concepts across our AFL, Majestic, and Mitchell & Ness streams.

Reporting to the Creative and Product Design & Development Director you'll collaborate closely with the Buyer, Sales Managers, Senior Merchandiser, and Graphic Design teams ensuring clear communication, streamlining workflows, and maintaining alignment with critical path.

You’ll bring a high level of organisation and prioritisation ensuring seamless execution to keep projects on track. If you're a natural communicator, you’ll excel in translating creative concepts into brand-aligned briefs for the graphic design team.

What you’ll do:

• Support the Creative and Product Design & Development Director to drive the execution of mid- and long-term strategies.
• Assist in developing trend documents and special project documents.
• Ensuring the Graphic Designers have brand aligned briefs, clear direction, feedback and maintain critical path milestones.
• Create CAD drawings of ranges based on trend and Senior Merchandiser directive across all brand streams.
• Manage colour palette, pre-production approvals, shipment approvals, and lab dips in collaboration with the product development team.
• Conduct quarterly research into graphic and garment design trends.
• Identify new opportunities for our customer base and ensure collections reflect the latest insights, trends, and commercial needs.
• Improve processes and ways of working within the design function.

What you’ll have:

• Tertiary qualification in Design or a related field and 5+ years of experience in product design and development within the apparel/textile industry.
• A strong portfolio (submitted with your application) which demonstrates your ability across both product and graphic design
• Strong range-building experience, balancing creative vision with commercial needs.
• Knowledge of T-shirt graphic design (preferred).
• Ability to interpret sales data and market trends to inform innovative product designs.
• Solid understanding of apparel production, fabric and technical design, and production workflows.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as project management tools.
• Experience working with licensing departments and managing league portal approvals.
