NHW have an exciting internal opportunity for a Wound Care Clinical Nurse Consultant

The duties of this position are to be performed with adherence to the purpose and values of Northeast Health Wangaratta’s strategic plan and compliance with the Code of Behaviour for staff of Northeast Health Wangaratta.

The primary role of the Wound Care Clinical Nurse Consultant is to:

  • Provide safe and effective client / patient centred wound care to individuals, their carers / families across acute, sub-acute and community services as required
  • Providing nursing assessment, evidence based best practice clinical intervention, monitoring, maintenance and education to clients/ patients and their carers/families
  • Provides expert clinical advice and education to patients, the healthcare team and significant others, facilitates care coordination
  • Efficiently and effectively manages the core business of the Wound Management Service.
