Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Admissions & Day Stay Unit

NHW have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager position within the Admissions and Discharge Unit. This role is for a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse seeking to develop their career in a dynamic environment working predominately within the Admissions and Discharge Unit, and assisting as ANUM across Pre-Admission Clinic, Elective Surgery Information Service and Admission Day Stay Unit (short stay overnight).

Applicants must possess good interpersonal / communication skills and have a sound clinical knowledge and an understanding of the pre-admission, admission and day stay processes. A proficient knowledge of change management and current acute nursing skills is essential. The Admission and Discharge Unit is a dynamic unit with evolving changes in current processes to encompass patient journey from pre- admission, triage, assessment, complex care identification and education of patient and family and working closely with the multi-disciplinary team. There is a strong relationship working with Nursing, Administration, Anaesthetic, Surgical / Medical Consults, Allied Health, pharmacy, GP’s etc.
