Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

The Northeast Health (NHW) Post Graduate program offers a number of courses in partnership with University partners that suits the needs of currently practising Registered Nurses.  The Post Graduate Nursing program with specialisation in Perioperative is based on a work-integrated learning (WIL) model, where staff undertake a mixture of online study and tutorials, as well as receive guided supervision in the clinical environment. Students will develop advanced skills and knowledge needed to plan, implement and evaluate care of complex nursing practices before, during and after surgery.

NHW will be supporting the Graduate Certificate of Perioperative Nursing stream of the suite of Perioperative courses offered at Deakin University in 2025 unless otherwise negotiated ie: Graduate Certificate of Perianaesthesia Nursing or Graduate Certificate of Intraoperative Nursing
