How You Will Impact Company Success
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role supporting the business partners and leadership team. The candidate will be an active partner in the development of financially focused targets for the business and will perform in-depth analyses and ensure accurate reporting. You will be integrally involved in evolving the financial foundations of our organization. You will partner with teams to provide insights and decision-making support to business partners and leadership, build-out best-in-class forecasting and budgeting practices, and help scale our existing processes and systems. The ideal candidate will exhibit superior analytical abilities, critical thinking, a relentless and intellectual curiosity, as well as exceptional communication skills.
What Are Your Key Accountabilities / Tasks
- Working closely with the leadership team and segment finance leaders to review monthly financial results and identify areas for cost reduction
- Assist in monthly close activities, forecasting, and annual budget processes including consolidation and variance analytics
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of materials for Board of Directors, Investor and other company meetings and presentations
- Perform analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Provide detailed analysis and monthly FLUX for COS and OPEX results
- Collaborate closely with the finance department to formulate well-informed pricing strategies that align with financial objectives and market dynamics.
- Utilize financial insights to establish competitive and profitable pricing for package delivery services.
- Analyze historical financial data, cost structures, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations for pricing decisions.
- Create financial models to assess the financial impact of various pricing scenarios on revenue, margin, and profitability.
- Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance
- Analyze and work with large volumes of data from a variety of sources to provide business insights and guidance to senior management utilizing BI tools
- Take complete ownership (build, maintain, and streamline) of complex financial models to drive results
- Provide insights around financial modelling, forecasting, and profitability
- Own and develop financial forecasts that accurately predict business performance; highlight key variances, opportunities, and issues to senior management
- Establish and maintain relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (including executives, team leads, and program leads), and serve as a key point of contact for budget to actuals questions
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses as required
What You Will Bring Here
- 5-7 years of relevant experience working with financial statements, data consolidation, financial planning & analysis and enterprise reporting systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- Experience creating dashboards to report on KPIs
- Experience in developing auditable financial reports
Desired Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with Great Plains, Smartview, Smartlist, and MS Office desirable
- Significant analytical and quantitative skillset including the utilization of BI, and reporting tools including PowerBI
- Advanced Excel modeling
Desired Soft Skills
- Advanced problem resolution and written and verbal communication skills
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision-making and ability to manage several projects at one time.
For employees based in Colorado, the salary at hire is expected to be between $75K-$85K per year.
