Program Coordinator - Onsite (Washington, DC)

The Program Coordinator is the focal point for communications among the faculty, students, school administration, advisory committees and alumni, and therefore has the broadest knowledge of all aspects of the programs and operations of the department. With excellent administration, organization, and communication skills, the coordinator provides the base for successful academic and research operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure that the programs’ needs are processed within the financial system.
  • Assist in filing the pre- and post- budget authorizations, and reimbursement of program budgets, sponsored research budgets and other initiatives.
  • Supervise one student worker.
  • Develop and maintain strong ties to alumni and ensure participation in school activities and functions. 
  • Manage department electronic documents and data storage, and file dissemination.
  • Maintain department website.
  • Lead efforts to improve curriculum and daily teaching efficiency in the programs. Develop new materials and enhance the use of technology in the classroom. 


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • The minimum academic level required to perform the work in this position is a B.A
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with faculty, staff and students, taking meeting notes, write meeting summaries
  • Organize/coordinate school related events, manage resources,
  • Strong administrative and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Workday and WordPress preferred.

Compensation for this position is $57,000-$60,000/ year DOE.
