6-month contract/temp assignment

Pay Range: $36 –$40 per hour
This is primarily an on-site position in the Congers, NY facility. Five (5) days onsite per week will be required during the onboarding phase but can be followed by minimum 3 days per week onsite on an ongoing basis. The position may sometimes require working late for night and weekend shifts as needed.
This position is responsible for supporting the Site HRBP in partnering with local management in the execution of the business strategy and implementing Aptar practices within the site, in accordance with local laws, regulations and applicable agreements.
What You'll Do:
- Supports the deployment of the HR strategy within the assigned Site/department.
- Proactively supports Site Management, providing expertise and guidance on various People-related matters, across the employee life cycle.
- Supports additional key local business projects and initiatives from a People perspective.
- Drives and coordinates the application of the overall HR Agenda in the site and implementing the yearly HR calendar (activities such as Salary planning, employee engagement survey, Performance Review, Objectives Setting, Talent Review).
- Ensures compliance with employment-related laws and regulations, offering expertise and guidance to business and Regional global HR BPs on personnel matters according to local laws (i.e. disciplinary, terminations, leave of absences).
- Is in close contact with the relevant HR Service Delivery department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of administrative services to the site.
- Liaises with Regional and Global CoE as appropriate:
- Collaborating with Talent Acquisition for key recruitment initiatives and employer branding.
- Collaborating with Learning & Development to define future training and development needs and providing training to the business sites offered by HORIZON catalogue.
- Collaborating with Rewards/Benefits on benefit offerings and open enrollment.
- Collaborating with Global Compensation on compensation processes, ensuring alignment with global and regional compensation guidelines.
- Delivers staffing solutions for local profiles, including temporary staff, relying on efficient partnerships with temporary work agencies and leveraging the support of Service Delivery where appropriate.
- Utilizes HR KPI’s to understand level of service offered to business and drive actions as applicable.
What You'll Bring:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related fields
Experience:
- 3-5 years HR experience in a manufacturing environment with expertise in HR policies and trends
- Business acumen: knowledge of products, production dynamics
- Strong compliance and employee relations expertise; federal and NY state labor law
Skills:
- HRIS knowledge – SAP Success Factors strongly preferred, Dayforce a plus
- Communication skills, employer relations expertise, and personal effectiveness
- Business advisor: Analytical and critical thinker
