EFT/Hours: 0.6 EFT (48 Hours Per Fortnight)
Status: Fixed Term Part Time (Parental Leave)
In addition to the fixed term role, there are also opportunities for Casual contracts to be offered.
Salary/ Hourly rate: $28.8474 - $31.6500 plus 11.5 % superannuation, plus casual loading if applicable
About the Role:
NCN Health have an exciting opportunity for an Activity Assistant to join our Social Support team at Numurkah.
The position contributes positively as a member of the Social Support Program team to assist in the provision of a high quality activity programs, including group based social and active exercise programs for clients who are eligible under a range of funding streams including the Commonwealth Home Support (CHSP), Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACCPYP) and NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) programs. The Activity Assistant is active in the promotion, maintenance and improvement of participant’s social, psychological and physical well-being through supporting the delivery of therapeutic activities.
What we are looking for:
- Vaccination against Covid-19 is strongly encouraged
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in either Aged Care, Community, Disability (P.C.A), Leisure and Lifestyle, Diversional Therapy, Nursing, or Allied Health Assistant qualifications.
- Commitment to enhancing the quality of life of frail aged people, people with disabilities and their carers.
- Demonstrated ability to empower clients to participate in decision making and activity planning.
