Cobram Medical Clinic is seeking a motivated staff member to relieve in the role of Acting Practice Manager when the Practice Manager is on planned or unplanned leave for greater than 3 days. This relieving contract would be for 12 months.

The Acting Practice Manager would ensure the smooth running of the medical clinic including but not limited to ensure appropriate rostering of staff, invoicing completed and reporting as required.

EFT/Hours:   As Required

Status:          Reliever contract for 12 months

Salary/ Hourly rate:   PT $ 37.6763 - $ 41.6526 plus 11.5% superannuation

About the Role:

The Cobram Medical Clinic (CMC) Practice Manager - Leave Reliever steps in to perform the role of Practice Manager when planned or unplanned leave exceeds 3 business days. 

The Practice Manager - Leave Reliever will assume the role to ensure the daily operations of the clinic are efficient and effective. The role leads the reception and nursing teams to provide a range of high-quality health care to the community, as well as managing financials and patient records. The role is the designated Privacy Officer for the Clinic in the absence of the Practice Manager.  

The role is responsible for ensuring high level customer service with all consumers, internal and external stakeholders, achieving performance indicators and best practice related to the Medical Clinic. The Practice Manager - Leave Reliever ensures legal and regulatory obligations are met and handles patient complaints and concerns effectively with the support of NCN Health Executive Managers.

The role works with NCN Health Management to ensure the medical clinic is a viable and sustainable business and is a key primary health provider of primary health care in the community.

 What we are looking for:

  • Previous Medical Reception experience of 3 years or more
  • A person who is capable of functioning autonomously, and prioritising their own work within established policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • A person who is responsible for work performed with a substantial level of responsibility and accountability
  • The suitable person can work either individually and assists and supervises the team
  • A person who possesses well developed administrative and problem-solving abilities
  • A person who possesses well developed communication, interpersonal and/or arithmetic skills
  • Ability to supervise and mentor staff
