MRAEL in partnership with Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) is seeking a highly motivated and eager Horticulture Trainee.

Embark on a rewarding learning journey as a Trainee Horticulturist at the Gladstone Area Water Board. Alongside practical duties maintaining green spaces, you will attend classroom sessions to equip you with essential knowledge to excel in the diverse, dynamic horticultural industry.

This position is responsible for the maintenance of landscaping, reticulation systems and gardening resources in line with GAWB’s Open Space Maintenance Management Plan (OSMMP), including landscaping improvement projects as required to GAWB owned recreation and infrastructure sites.

Roster:

Monday to Friday - 9 day fortnight (76 hours per fortnight)

Location: Awoonga Dam Workshop, Gladstone

About you:

You will have a positive attitude, willingness to learn and work collaboratively with others. Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Hold a current C Class Drivers Licence
  • Genuine interest in the Horticulture industry
  • Willingness to learn
  • Highly motivated selft starter with great iniative
