What's involved:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate who is interested in completing training and education as an apprentice with a view to becoming a trade-qualified Fitter & Turner. You will be learning alongside tradesmen and engineers to solve real problems in real time!
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:
- Overhauling gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, driveshafts
- Installing bearings on site
- Dismantling, cleaning, assessing and measuring parts
- Assisting with small machining jobs
- Cleaning of the workshop
- Workshop deliveries (local area)
- Assisting with maintaining workshop equipment
- Sand blasting and spray painting
About you:
To be considered for this position you will ideally have:
- A positive attitude to learn in the workplace,
- High level of mechanical aptitude,
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures, both written and verbal,
- Ability to operate equipment and systems,
You must hold a current Drivers Licence.
