MRAEL in partnership with Anglo American, Capcoal are seeking candidates interested in undertaking a Telecommunications Traineeship.
Successful candidates will follow a structured and industry-specific training plan, learning on the job from experts in their field whilst completing a Certificate III in Telecommunications (ICT30519).
As a Telecommunications Trainee you will work alongside the tech team in a field-based environment, across both Lake Lindsay and German Creek sites. You will assist in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications technologies and systems - working with Gallagher systems, fibre, 2-way radio networking, point to point links, wireless networking, cables - structured infrastructure.
Who are we seeking?
In the fixed-term position, the successful candidate will show an ability to work safely in a mining environment, demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, be motivated to learn and develop new skills, and have the ability to work constructively within a team.
The positions will be offered on a Monday - Friday roster. Local residents are encouraged to apply, however Camp accommodation will be provided for Drive-in Drive-out (DIDO) candidates.

To be successful, ideally you will have:
- Previous work experience in Information Technology (I.T)
- A keen interest in telecommunications and technology
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A strong focus on working safely
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Senior certificate or equivalent
