MRAEL are currently seeking a Casual Survey Officer (Animal Management) to join Isaac Regional Council, servicing the Isaac Region.
In this role, you will actively contribute to maintaining community safety, promoting education, and ensuring compliance with Council’s Local Laws. You will support initiatives that enhance community wellbeing and animal welfare, while upholding high-quality standards and performance indicators.

About the position?
Survey Officer's (Animal Management) is responsible for the follwing, but not limited;
- Conduct inspection programs and monitoring to ensure compliance with state legislation
- Conduct investigations into alleged breached and provide evidence in a Courts to provide evidence, applications for warrants/orders
- Issue correspondence, directions, compliance notices, Penalty Infringement notices and execute Warrants and Orders
- Process applications for permits and licences
- Completing animal management duties within competency/skill set, including capture/handling and impounding of animals

What is on offer?
- Salary - $48.08 per hour (Stream A, Level 2-3)
- Casual - Monday - Friday Roster (8:30am - 5pm
Requirements
- Hold a Current Queensland Open Class C Drivers Licence
- Previous experience with Local Laws and Government is advantageous
- Ability to work both within a team and autonomously
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Experience in navigating and interpreting State Legislation and Local Laws is highly desirable
