About the Role

As a Senior WHSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing WHSE strategies and ensuring the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental management for our exciting renewable energy project. You will work collaboratively with both Corporate and Project WHSE Managers, lead risk assessments, and implement innovative practices to enhance our safety culture. This position involves FIFO or DIDO work with a 2/1 roster tailored to project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Corporate and Project WHSE Managers to identify and resolve system gaps, ensuring a streamlined and effective WHSE management system.
  • Lead risk assessments and safety reviews to identify potential hazards and ensure that preventative measures are implemented.
  • Champion a proactive approach to behavioural safety, encouraging the adoption of innovative safety practices across the workforce.
  • Manage on-site WHSE documentation, investigate incidents, and ensure corrective actions are taken swiftly and effectively.
  • Analyse safety data to uncover trends, address issues, and recommend improvements to continuously improve safety performance.
  • Actively engage with and coach other WHSE Advisors, project supervisors, and personnel to enhance their knowledge and adherence to safety processes and practices.
  • Engage employees and contractors to foster a culture of safety, ensuring the successful delivery of Monford’s safety programs on-site.
  • Oversee HSE audits, inspections, investigations, and safety training programs to maintain high standards of compliance and safety awareness.

About You

  • Diploma in WHSE or equivalent qualifications (Cert IV WHS is a must).
  • Extensive experience in WHSE advisory roles, especially in industrial or construction settings.
  • Expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and WHSE compliance.
  • A proactive approach to safety and a keen interest in leading behavioural safety programs.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset to address safety trends and performance.
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring others in WHSE best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the organisation.
