We believe in promoting from within, celebrating team successes, and fostering an environment where individuals can grow, thrive, and achieve their full potential. Your development is key to our mission, and we’re looking for passionate professionals to join our team.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Environmental Advisor to support a range of projects across the East Coast, working on a 2/1 roster. This is a site-based role with some work from our Brisbane head office.

Ideally, we’re seeking a senior-level professional with a strong understanding of Queensland environmental legislation, but we’re also open to someone ready to take the next step in their career.

You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring environmental compliance, managing risks, and fostering a culture of sustainability across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on in the field while contributing to environmental management and compliance in the construction sector.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, including reviewing and maintaining the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and project approvals.
  • Provide expert guidance to project teams on environmental risk management, implementing effective controls, and promoting a strong environmental culture.
  • Conduct environmental inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Advise internal teams on environmental planning, approvals, and regulatory requirements, ensuring projects meet expectations set by state planning agencies.
  • Assist in forecasting and planning environmental activities, preparing detailed reports on environmental performance, and ensuring accurate compliance documentation.
  • Review Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP) and Works Permits for compliance, ensuring mitigation measures are effectively implemented.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us:

  • Career Growth & Development: Access paid training, professional memberships, and opportunities to step into leadership.
  • Financial & Lifestyle Benefits: Enjoy novated leasing, lifestyle discounts, and a healthy work-life balance.
  • Social & Team Culture: Be part of a supportive and collaborative team with regular social events and recognition for your achievements.
  • Work on Exciting Projects: Support a variety of projects along the East Coast, gaining diverse experience across different sites.

You’ll Bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Environmental Advisory role, preferably in civil construction.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and industry standards.
  • Experience in Erosion and Sediment Control, with certification (preferred).
  • A proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • A commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability best practices.
