Position Overview

The Opportunity

As one of Mipac’s Senior AVEVA PI Specialists, your main responsibilities will involve working with our domestic and international clients to improve and optimise their operations by making data-driven decisions. This is a role with plenty of opportunities to grow your skillset while being supported by approachable management and an inclusive, diverse team.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking and coordinating integration projects in Australia and overseas that enhance clients' useful performance data availability and decision-making capability
  • Providing sound engineering and analysis techniques to understand client needs and utilizing relevant tools/methodologies to identify solutions
  • Conducting engineering investigations, designing and calculating, preparing engineering documentation, and applying sound engineering practices to achieve objectives of quality, schedule, and budgeted hours
  • Developing and maintaining a full working knowledge of Mipac and partner software used in delivering Digital Solutions Implementation integrations
  • Supporting clients with their ongoing operations by maintaining and optimising their data historian
  • Reviewing and auditing data historian deployments
  • Providing technical advice and assistance to other team members
  • Evaluating new technologies and methods for future applications

About you; ideally, you will have:

  • A degree in Engineering (metallurgy, process, chemical, mechatronic, electrical), Computer Science, or another relevant tertiary qualification
  • Extensive industry experience with historians, specializing in AVEVA PI System and Asset Framework development
  • Proficiency in MES, various historians, and integrating process control systems, as well as managing installation, configuration, validation, and tuning
  • Skills in SQL, Oracle databases, scripting, and process analysis for report creation using historian data
  • A strong understanding of Windows OS, networking, and system security
  • Experience in the energy and resources sector is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel to sites (domestically and internationally) occasionally as required
