About The Opportunity

Our Americas team (North and South America), is currently seeking a Mine Planning Consultant in Chile. Based out of Santiago, you will play a key support role for customers of our intuitive open-pit mine planning solution, Micromine Alastri. In this role you will provide technical support, pre-sales assistance, and training for our clients.

Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager- Mining, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist the sales team by providing technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as requested
• Developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships with clients
• Conducting software training with clients in a mix of in-person and online sessions
• Provide our clients with telephone, email and face to face support
• BETA testing new versions and products, providing feedback, and assessing impacts on support procedures and documentation.

About You

You will have a background within operational mining, and/or have experience working for a mining technology company.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
• Experience with Open Pit mining
• 3+ years experience with mine planning and scheduling.
• Experience with general purpose mining software.
• Experience with gold and copper mining
• Client facing experience preferred
• The ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time- throughout LATAM 
• Spanish and English professional fluency (spoken and written)
