About The Opportunity

Our APAC team is currently searching for a Principal Mining Consultant– Micromine Advance (UG), to be located in Perth or Brisbane. In this role you will be responsible for delivering high quality pre-sales activity for Micromine Advance, including technical product demonstrations, tenders, proof of concept model builds, software evaluation, campaigns, promotions, conferences and events.

Micromine Advance is a dedicated underground mine planning solution crafted to help engineers create realistic and detail-driven plans. 

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the sales team by providing technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as requested
• Create and present strategic technical demonstrations to customers with solution and value focus
• Short, medium and long-term mine scheduling and design for underground hard rock mining operations.
• Leading mining studies, encompassing trade-offs, concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and life of mine, including cost modelling and financial evaluations.
• Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of Micromine software.

About You

Our preferred candidate will have a strong underground mining engineering background, including extensive onsite experience across a variety of hard rock mining operations.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in mining studies, design, scheduling, and optimisation for different mining methods and commodities.
• Advanced proficiency with mining software packages such as Deswik, Datamine, Vulcan, Spry etc.
• Prior experience with, or a willingness to, seek out new clients for consulting work.
