About The Opportunity
Our Operations Team is comprised of technical experts who play a critical role in the acquisition, seamless onboarding, and long-term retention of customers. As our business continues to thrive, we are bolstering the team by hiring a Senior Mining Engineer at our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Global Head of Technical Support, you will provide consulting services, technical engineering assistance, and commercial support for our Micromine Advance software while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our mining products. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical expertise for all client-facing aspects of the Micromine Advance business, including proof of concept, technical commercial support, and engineering consulting services.
- Support the Sales team by providing technical engineering support during demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as needed.
- Assisting with all aspects of Micromine Advance implementations globally.
- Delivering training to new and current Micromine Advance users, including Micromine staff, either in person or online.
- Liaising with the Product Development Team and software users during the software design cycle, including determining new product functionality, creating design briefs, and beta testing.
- Supporting promotional or product development projects as required, such as creating demonstration data sets, testing software or hardware components, etc.
About You
Our preferred candidate will have a strong mining engineering background in underground metalliferous operations, including onsite operational roles.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in the analysis, design, implementation, and use of mine scheduling software and systems.
- Advanced proficiency with mining software packages such as Deswik, Datamine, Vulcan, Spry, etc.
