Manage the delivery of Ground Transport and projects from design to delivery

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Operations Interface Specialist to join our Ground Transport team.

The purpose of the role is to provide the operational project interface across all Landside facilities and specified Terminal projects including Capital Projects. The Operations Interface Specialist is responsible for the design, development & delivery of business improvements across all partner government agencies (PGA) projects including innovative product development, infrastructure projects, process & systems improvements and service enhancements.

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Business & Product Improvements

  • Develop & deliver business improvements across the Ground Transport operations including processes, systems, people and infrastructure projects from inception, business case development, funding & approvals to delivery and go live ensuring operational readiness and airport transition (ORAT) activities successfully completed.

 Project Interface

  • Manage the delivery of Ground Transport and other BU projects from design to delivery & go live to enhance the customer experience and minimise risks to safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement & sign offs and meet cost effective operational requirements with cost effective solutions. 

Operational Readiness

  • Manage the consistent delivery of ORAT for Ground Transport in relation customer impact, readiness, cost, compliance, and efficient operations across the precinct.

Reputational Management & Risk Mitigation

  • Manage the operational readiness interface of Ground Transport and other BU projects as the Operations SME across the Landside precinct. Ensure compliance and risk mitigation perspective ensuring mitigation through design, construction, delivery and ORAT with appropriate stakeholder engagement and sign off.

Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure the effective delivery of stakeholder management and communications strategy for relevant Ground Transport projects

Policies & Processes

  • Ensure that the development and implementation of construction projects, process and operational improvement initiatives are supported by appropriate policy and procedures to maximise their impact for the customer, meet operational/compliance and asset management requirements and deliver cost efficiency on an ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good knowledge and experience within an airport operations or customer/operations delivery
  • Frontline experience recommended in supporting the development of the right solutions and operating models
  • Stakeholder management skills - internal and external.
  • Experience in designing functional work areas
  • A background in working on large scale projects from initiation to completion
  • Project coordination experience
  • Past experience in coordinator/advisor type role
