Chef/Cook Health Care

We are seeking a passionate, creative Chef/Cook to join our healthcare culinary team. You will work closely with kitchen team and wellbeing staff to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our patients and residents. This is an opportunity to use your culinary talents to nourish and uplift our community's health.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing meals for patients, residents and community meals with specialized dietary needs (e.g. diabetic, low-sodium, etc.)
  • Cooking balanced, appetizing meals for our consumers
  • Maintaining a sanitary, organized kitchen and managing food safety procedures
  • Training and overseeing kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

To excel in this role, MDHS would prefer

  • Healthcare cooking experience and qualifications
  • Knowledge of clinical nutrition principles and therapeutic diets
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation protocols
