We are seeking a dynamic and motivated leader to oversee our Central Sterile Services Department. As the Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of this vital hub that enables patient care across Maryborough District Health Service. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Leading a team in maintaining rigorous standards of cleaning, disinfection, and sterility
- Collaborating closely with perioperative services and clinical departments on their instrumentation needs
- Planning and coordinating equipment maintenance and replacement schedules
- Staying up-to-date on best practices and emerging technologies in sterile processing
To excel in this position, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of sterile processing workflows along with strong leadership abilities. We need someone who can optimize processes, build relationships across the organization, and ensure the CSSD has sufficient resources to safely meet increasing demand.
