About the Health Service

Mansfield District Hospital (MDH) is located in Victoria’s scenic high country, at the foot of Mount Buller and on the shores of Lake Eildon, only two hours from Melbourne.

At Mansfield District Hospital, we provide care for all life stages and critical health needs, including acute hospital care, urgent care, operating theatre, obstetrics with a midwifery group practice model, aged care, regional district nursing service for in-home care and our allied health services.

The 'Activities Assistant - Aged Care' will be working across both of our aged care facilities, located within a short walk of each other and both within walking distance to the main hospital.

The activities assistant is responsible for facilitating the delivery of a wide range of recreational activities catering for the physical and mental well-being and individual tastes of our aged care residents.

You will have effective communication and interpersonal skills to assist you in meeting the recreational and engagement needs of our Aged Care Residents. This role works flexibly in a multi-disciplinary team to provide a broad range of therapeutic and program related activities to facilitate a positive wellbeing status for residents. As an Activities Assistant you will work with the Nursing and Allied Health teams to identify and document client preferences and abilities.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Health or similar.
