Graduate Nurse Program Applications – Enrolled Nurses
Mansfield District Hospital’s Enrolled Nurse (EN) Graduate Nurse Program is designed to consolidate knowledge, skills, and competence, and transition new EN graduates to practice as safe, confident and accountable professionals.
Who is eligible?
- ENs who are Registered with APHRA as an Enrolled Nurse (Diploma of Nursing qualification) or will be registered by January 2025
- EN graduates must be in their first year of practice
- Applicants will be required to attend an interview – planned for November 2024
Application Instructions:
1. Letter of application, addressing the criteria below:
- Why would you like to be considered for the program?
- What you would like to achieve by entering the program?
2. Curriculum vitae – including placement history and two professional / clinical referees. One must be a clinical referee (please include their work email addresses)
3. Certified copy of academic transcript with results legend
4. Two most recent clinical placement reports (at least one must be from an acute placement including formative and summative)
5. Current Police and Working with Children checks to be presented at interview. Along with current immunisation record.

As part of the EN Graduate Nurse Program Mansfield District Hospital offers:
- 12-month program (rotations – aged care and acute)
- 0.6-0.8 EFT. 12-month contract
- Supernumerary orientation to the program (according to need)
- Four paid formal study days
- Regular facilitated clinical skills labs sessions
- Regular informal professional development/reflective practice sessions
- Program planned and supported by dedicated EN Graduate Nurse Program Coordinator and five day per week CSN cover for clinical supervision and support.
