Tech Support - Trainee

About the role

McNab is offering an enthusiastic candidate the opportunity to undertake an Information Technology Traineeship. This traineeship will see you undertake a Certificate IV in Information Technology (ICT40120) while gaining valuable experience on the job across our vast Information Systems. The role will continue to grow overtime as you build on your knowledge and experience. 

You will gain value experience and exposure to the following:

• Helpdesk - providing technical assistance and troubleshooting issues, while providing a high level of customer service.
• All facets of Information Systems administration including physical set up on our project sites at various locations when required.
• You will have the opportunity to learn and gain exposure to networking engineering, data warehousing and data analytics.
• The Traineeship is approximately 2 years and upon completion, see you commence in a Helpdesk Level 1 role.

About you

We are genuinely excited for this newly created role to impart knowledge and grow the successful candidate. We are seeking someone who has a strong interest in Information Systems who wants a career in this area and has the following key attributes:

• Provide a high level of customer service and have the ability to solve problems and seek solutions.
• A natural communicator with interpersonal skills
• Proactive, motivated and have the ability to 'think outside the box' to create efficiencies
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A genuine interest in Information systems and a willingness to undertake study in this area to kick start your career
• Understanding of Windows Operating Systems and troubleshooting
• Previous experience using Microsoft office suite and a familiarity with iPhone & Android set up and troubleshooting
• Must have a current drivers licence and a willingness to travel to our project sites and office locations (company car is provided for this)
• There is a manual handling requirement for this role, you must be able to lift up to 20kg (printers & IT equipment)
