About the role

Your role as Treasury Officer is to support the McNab Group treasury function by assisting with cash management, liquidity, guarantees, and provision of accounts. Your role will help ensure smooth financial operations, compliance with industry regulations, and support successful projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in cash flow projections and daily monitoring of cash positions while coordinating accurate payment processing. Manage working capital by overseeing payment runs, monitoring receivables, and optimising idle cash across business units for better liquidity.
  • Coordinate the setup, maintenance, and closure of bank accounts while managing signatory lists and user access rights. Oversee debt schedules, track repayments, and liaise with financial institutions on banking arrangements and treasury matters.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers and financial institutions to facilitate the issuance of guarantees and bonds as required. Ensure that all guarantee-related documentation is accurately prepared, reviewed, and maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent unauthorized transactions while assisting in the review and enhancement of treasury processes for improved efficiency and risk management, specifically adhering to state-specific building industry payment regulations.
  • Generate regular cashflow reports for review at a Group and Business Unit level. 
  • Weekly FX settlements and outstanding forward contract values.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports on debt facilities including the interest cost, drawdowns, repayments, available limits, and movements within the period. 

About you

  • Previous experience in treasury, finance, or accounts administration
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical skills, and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Understanding the importance of this role and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to analyse, interpret, and present financial data clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner to support decision-making.
  • Ideally you will have previous experience in the construction, or related industry with an understanding state specific payment regulations.
