As we continue to expand, we are seeking motivated Carpenters to join our dedicated and high-performing internal trades team. These are permanent full-time positions to help support our site teams on current and future projects. 

You will be joining our team where you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects across Southeast Queensland. We work on different types of projects from multi-res to industrial to social and affordable housing, so the work is always varied.

McNab also has several career pathways available for those that are looking to build a career in Construction. Several of our most senior leaders at McNab started hands on, on the ground running and worked their way up to become Foreman, Site Managers, Project Managers and Construction Managers.

Duties:

  • General varied Commercial Carpentry duties will be required across all projects as no project is the same!

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Steel and timber framing
  • Commercial and residential fit outs
  • Formwork and concreting
  • Footings and hold down bolts
  • Cladding and flooring
  • Maintenance and defect work

 

  • Ability to work with varying materials (e.g. steel, concrete, and timber)
  • Read and interpret plans, specs, and drawings.
  • Operation of hand and power tools and hire equipment.
  • Following safety protocols and procedures on all job sites.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment with a growth mindset.

What we are looking for:

  • Experienced Carpenters.
  • Safety focused.
  • Motivated and strong attention to detail.
  • Professional interactions with all staff and teams.
  • Ability to work in a team and trusted to work unsupervised.
  • Driven in progressing your career further.
  • Construction White Card or the ability to obtain.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport, as travel is required throughout SEQ.
