DJs Qwikfix Plastering has an opening for a Plasterer Apprentice to join the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the Plastering industry while working alongside our experienced tradespeople.

DJs Qwikfix Plastering is expanding and, due to ongoing residential work, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Apprentice Plasterer to join our dynamic team in Rockhampton, Queensland.

About the Role:

As an Apprentice Plasterer, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople and learn all aspects of residential plastering, contributing to the successful delivery of quality construction projects.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting qualified plasterers with the installation and finishing of plasterboard and interior linings
  • Sheeting, setting, framing, and cornice work
  • Preparing surfaces for plastering, including sanding, taping, and jointing
  • Mixing and applying plaster compounds to walls and ceilings
  • Sanding and finishing surfaces to a high standard
  • Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
  • Participating in on‑the‑job training to develop your plastering skills

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine interest in the building and construction industry, particularly plastering
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Good physical fitness and a willingness to undertake physical work
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident
