Apprenticeship Consultant
Mas National, part of IntoWork Australia, Mas National exists to create and support workforce employment, development and growth for individuals, employers and communities.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, positive and energetic team player to join our team in Queensland to service Cairns region and surrounding areas in North Queensland.
Mas National are contracted by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations to deliver Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) services across multiple states. Our knowledgeable and passionate team support employers, stakeholders and individuals from pre-commencement through to completion of an Australian Apprenticeship.
The Apprenticeship Consultant role encompasses marketing and promotional activities for Australian Apprenticeships and other VET training pathways at a local level, ensuring quality marketing, maintaining positive client relationships and engaging with relevant stakeholders.
The position also involves capitalising on growth opportunities, assisting individuals in finding suitable VET/employment pathways, and delivering excellent customer service by providing accurate and timely information to employers, Australian Apprentices, and training providers.
Apprenticeship Consultants are also responsible for administering Assessment Services to both potential apprentices and employers, to ensure correct supports are put in place that scaffold the relationship, leading to an increase in successful completions in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a passionate advocate for promotion of Australian Apprenticeships as a career pathway
- Increase visibility and uptake of Australian Apprenticeships via engagement with schools including presentations, career expo’s and industry events
- Complete sign-up inductions with Employers and Australian Apprentices
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within the region to encourage commencement, retention and completion of Australian Apprenticeships
- Raise the awareness and profile of Australian Apprenticeships and other VET training pathways, especially in terms of recruitment for, First Nations, Disability, Women in Trades.
- Develop and maintain strong industry links and stakeholder engagement with employers, Registered Training Organisations, Schools and other stakeholders
- Promote business growth within Mas National and the IntoWork group
Successful candidates will need to have:
- A strong network and connections with your local community
- An understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship system and VET sector (preferred but not essential)
- Willingness to learn and be mentored in a new role
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to clients
- Strong computer and administration skills
- Highly motivated and outcome focused
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Current driver's license
This is an autonomous position and is exceptionally rewarding and includes a company-maintained vehicle, phone and laptop.
