We are seeking a talented and creative Apprentice Pastry Chef to join our team.
Buns & Beans Bakery are looking to grow their team! Our café features freshly baked breads and pastries made daily with care and locally sourced ingredients, along with catering services.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong background in pastry. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods, as well as contributing to product development and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Main duties include but not limited to:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, slices and cookies.
- Develop and test new recipes to expand our offerings.
- Decorate and present desserts in a visually appealing manner.
- Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves
- Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning, sanitation
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality and food safety standards.
- Adapt recipes to meet dietary requirements and special requests.
