The Role:

We are looking for an ER/IR Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in managing employee and industrial relations matters across the organisation. You’ll focus on simple, uncontested cases while also supporting our industrial advocates with more complex cases. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters such as workplace policies, grievances, and misconduct.
  • Manage and resolve simple ER/IR issues in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation.
  • Assist with complex industrial relations cases alongside experienced industrial advocates.
  • Draft accurate and consistent documentation related to ER/IR matters.
  • Ensure full compliance with Awards, pay conditions, and other industrial instruments for all our on-hire employees.
  • Educate and support our recruitment consultants, equipping them with the skills to manage ER/IR matters and escalate issues appropriately.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Recent graduates with relevant knowledge are welcome; experience in HR or ER/IR roles is advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, including Awards and industrial instruments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to engage with a variety of stakeholders
  • A proactive and confident approach to managing ER/IR issues, with the agility to adapt to changing situations.

First Priorities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Manpower’s Award classification processes for Australian-based roles.
  • Gain confidence in managing Award approvals autonomously, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Begin educating Recruitment Consultants on ER/IR matters, enhancing their ability to support employees effectively.
  • Develop proactive measures to ensure continuous compliance with IR regulations.
