About the role:
This position works within a trauma informed therapeutic framework and is responsible for the leadership, supervision, support and development of the ITC Therapeutic Youth Work team. The House Manager ITC works closely with the Therapeutic Specialist, Caseworker, Coordinator and other ITC staff to provide high quality therapeutic care and assist young people to heal from trauma and achieve their full potential.
This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity based in Rutherford, NSW within our Intensive Therapeutic Care program and reports to the ITC Coordinator.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification at Bachelor Degree level in social work, community services, management or relevant field
- Proven skills and experience in development of behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.
- Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.
