About The Role

Full-time position based in Geelong

Join our team as a Home Based Care (HBC) Case Manager! In this vital role, you'll receive referrals, assess needs, and coordinate placements with the support of your Coordinator. You’ll develop and implement personalised plans for each child, ensuring their needs are met while supervising and supporting foster families and, when appropriate, their birth families. You’ll meet all statutory requirements, write reports, and provide regular supervision to caregivers. We believe in a collaborative approach, so you’ll participate in team discussions, fostering open communication.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in social work, community services or equivalent.
  • Sound professional knowledge and theory base relating to trauma, attachment and integrated trauma informed practice.
  • Experience in child welfare practice and an understanding of meeting children's Developmental needs.

Must Have

  • Valid and current Driver’s Licence
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop)
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
