About the role
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented legal professional eager to grow your career? As a Junior Lawyer, you’ll work closely with our Senior Lawyers to provide essential legal services across MacKillop.
In this dynamic, hands-on role, you’ll manage a variety of legal requests—from initial engagement with stakeholders to drafting key documents and supporting matter and contract management. You'll also contribute to committee and working group papers, gaining valuable experience across multiple areas of law.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes initiative, and is ready to take on diverse challenges within our Legal and Governance Team. If you're excited to build your expertise and make an impact, we'd love to hear from you!
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in South Melbourne, VIC within our Corporate Services unit. The position reports to the General Counsel.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Completion of a qualification in law, admission to legal practice and either hold or eligible to obtain a current Corporate Practicing Certificate, in the State of Victoria.
- Experience working as a Junior Lawyer, preferably within a corporate or not-for-profit organisation desirable.
- Ability to flexibly manage competing priorities and stressful situations, in a complex and deadline driven environment.
- In-house experience preferred, but not essential.
