The FPR practitioner will bring an innovative, intensive and wrap around service that will work with the whole family system.

About the role:

Join Our Impactful Team! Help Transform the Lives of Children and Families.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families? We're seeking dynamic individuals to join our Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) program—a cutting-edge, integrated approach designed to keep families together and prevent children from entering or re-entering care.

As part of our intensive intervention phase, you'll be delivering life-changing support via a mobile, flexible model. You'll then help sustain this progress through ongoing, tailored service support, ensuring at-risk children can safely remain with their parents or be reunified when possible.

Our FPR program doesn’t operate in isolation—it links, aligns, and strengthens existing child and family services across the state, creating a seamless continuum of care that supports families in need. Your role will contribute directly to the continuous development of this program, shaping the future of child protection services in Victoria and strengthening the evidence base for best-practice family support.

Working within a collaborative, evidence-based framework, you’ll help empower families to overcome challenges and create lasting change. You’ll be an integral part of a cohesive, highly motivated team, working alongside the FPR Practice Leader to make a real impact.

If you're looking to be part of a pioneering team committed to transforming the future of child and family services, this is your opportunity. Join us and help create a brighter future for children and families across Victoria!

This is a Full-Time opportunity (38 hours per week) based at our Broadmeadows Office. The position reports to the FPR Practice Team Leader.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Significant work experience in a relevant field which supports an understanding of key child development issues relating to young parents and their families who have complex needs.
  • Understanding of and demonstrated experience working with issues such as attachment, trauma, and intergenerational disadvantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families with complex trauma needs.
