The position of Staffing Facilitator is situated within the MacKillop National After-Hours Services Unit which provides a responsive ‘after hours ‘support service to our residential care, home based care, lead tenant and case management programs that provide support for young people with high and complex needs, and a therapeutically oriented program for young people in protective placements. The MacKillop National After-Hours Service operates from the South Melbourne site. The position reports to the respective Coordinator. 

This is a Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week - 1.0 EFT) opportunity based in Preston within our MacKillop National After-Hours Service. The position reports to the Coordinator.

 

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

•       A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.

•       Experience in youth services or residential care.

•       Ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

•       Experience and understanding of OH&S issues in the workplace.
