You’ll provide emotional, social, and behavioral support to the young people in our care, adapting to new situations and learning as you go.
Each shift will be different, and you’ll get to:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people by being flexible, understanding, and approachable.
- Handle administrative tasks like working on computers, updating records, and collaborating with case workers, residential staff, service providers, and families.
- Work with a team that’s dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for the young people in our care.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Hourly Rate between $34.46 and $40.05, with pay dependent on your qualifications and experience. Night shift penalty rates for those late-night hours may also apply!
- Salary Packaging options to help you save on tax – you can reduce your taxable income by up to $18,550 per year!
- Fitness Passport – discounted gym membership for you and your family.
- Paid Training in areas like Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Sanctuary, and Cultural Awareness, to help you grow in your role.
- Employee Assistance Program – access to free, confidential counseling and support for both your personal and professional life.
- Sanctuary Model – Be a part of an organisation that implements The Sanctuary Model, a program focused on helping individuals manage stress and adversity while preventing trauma symptoms, fostering positive workplace culture change.
What We Need From You:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or similar qualification).
- A valid driver’s license (you’ll need it to get around).
- Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check (we’ll help with this if needed).
- A genuine passion for helping young people thrive and a caring heart.
- Empathy, with the ability to connect with young people in a non-judgmental way.
- Strong emotional self-regulation skills – you’ll be the steady hand that provides safety, consistency, and stability to those in your care.
