About the role:
The Team Leader Therapeutic Casework position sits within the FFT-CW Unit, providing family therapy and therapeutic casework utilising the FFT-CW model.
The FFT-CW Team Leader provides direct supervision of the Therapeutic Case Workers who provide FFT-CW low risk intervention. Primary responsibilities include oversight of the day to day performance of the Case Work team in support and alliance with the Programs Plans, ensuring that all requirements for the monitoring of the FFT-CW program, including reports, documentation and adherence to model fidelity, agency policy and procedures are delivered.
This is a Fixed Term 12 months Full Time (38 hrs per week) opportunity based in Blacktown, NSW 2148, Australia within the FFT-CW Unit. The position reports to the Regional Manager, NSW South/ACT.
Key Selection Criteria:
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Social Work or Psychology or an Aboriginal Health Worker.
- Post Graduate training in relevant child, adolescent, family work and systemic thinking is strongly preferred.
- Proven highly developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and excellent engagement skills.
- A track record of working collaboratively with the demonstrated capacity to negotiate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including, DCJ, other agencies and the community.
- Evidence of a holistic understanding of the complexity of the child protection and out- of home care service system and the issues involved in providing services to statutory clients
- Evidence of personal values consistent with the values of MacKillop Family Services including a willingness to embrace the Sanctuary Model and Principles.
