About the Role:

Providing a high standard of direct clinical care to residents in the residential aged care setting, including administration of medications, and to complete accurate documentation.


About you:

You are a highly organised and self-motivated individual with excellent clinical knowledge of aged care - someone who can manage their time and be flexible with their workloads. You'll have a high level of teamwork and leadership skills for in-charge shifts with colleagues and empathy and compassion too.

 To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: 

 Essential skills and competencies:

  • Diploma Nursing or Certificate with Medication Endorsement
  • Leadership experience 'in charge' and teamwork with colleagues
  • Work experience of at least 12 months in similar role or more in aged care
  • Friendly and positive personality
  • Clinical care - medication rounds, wounds care etc.
  • Liaising with visiting GP's and allied health providers
  • Lead and supervise as required Carers (with some personal care duties with the team where required)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse (medication endorsed)
  • Computer and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated practice of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care
  • Current police check
  • Must have Seasonal Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination evidence.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • A good understanding of the Aged Care Standards, accreditation and ANACC requirements
  • An understanding of continuous improvement and OH&S
  • Work experience of 6 months or more in aged care
