About the Role ...

Registered Nurses are valued team members who report to the Clinical Manager and provide supervision of clinical care and teamwork/leadership with Enrolled Nurses and Carers as well as support the emotional well-being of our residents.

Registered Nurses are responsible for providing a high standard of expert clinical care knowledge within aged care for residents, including admission assessments, Care Plans, liaising with GP's, family members, and also managing administration of medications, accurate documentation to ensure a high standard of care.

 

About you ...

You are a highly organised and self-motivated individual with excellent clinical knowledge of aged care - someone who can manage their time and be flexible with their workloads. You'll have a high level of skills in mentoring your team and a focus on internal leadership and empathy and compassion too.

 

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: 

 

Essential Qualification, skills and competencies:

  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree and current registration with AHPRA
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse in Aged Care
  • Leadership and mentoring of team members.
  • Teamwork with colleagues
  • Friendly and positive personality
  • Exceptional Clinical care knowledge and skills 
  • Experience liaising with visiting GP's, allied health providers and conducting or supporting meetings with family members
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer service
  • Computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to smoothly run a shift and manage a variety of issues
  • Demonstrated practice of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care
  • A good understanding of the Aged Care Standards, documentation requirements and Accreditation. 
  • An understanding of continuous improvement and OH&S
  • Current police check
  • COVID Vaccination
  • Seasonal Influenza Vaccination
