About the role
We are sourcing a Clinical Educator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis to provide clinical education, training and support across nine aged care homes.
The Clinical Educator reports directly to the Group Clinical Systems Manager and is required to ensure that clinical education requirements are monitored across the homes, providing support to home management teams to create, schedule and deliver the home’s education calendar.
- Assist with the management of the Online Learning Platform including administration, review of content and providing support to home managers and clinical teams with use of the platform.
- Planning, development, implementation and monitoring of staff orientation and induction programs, focussing on clinical competencies, will be a crucial part of the role.
- Contribute to outcomes that endeavour to meet compliance obligations including the Aged Care Quality & Accreditation Standards.
The role requires regular communication with Managers, Clinical Care Coordinators, Clinical Staff and the Support Office Team with respect to reporting on clinical education activities, compliance and follow up to ensure resolution.
About you
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current AHPRA Registration
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in an aged care or healthcare setting
- Demonstrated experience in delivering clinical education, training or mentoring
- Demonstrated experience as a mentor and coach with the proven ability to use contemporary education and teaching methods to develop and motivate staff towards a learning culture
- Experience in working with diverse clinical teams in residential aged care
- Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to design, deliver and assess clinical training programs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to implement and improve clinical education activities
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Passion for aged care and improving the quality of life for residents
- Collaborative and team-focused approach
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Current National Police Certificate that satisfies the requirements of the Aged Care Act and guiding principles
- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (for travel between homes)
