MECHANICAL FITTER

Anticipated Gross Annual Earnings – $214,668.00*

As our valued Mechanical Fitters, you will be vital to the success of our major mining construction projects at either the Tanami Mine in the Northern Territory or the Carrapateena Mine in South Australia.

Working a 2:1 FIFO roster with flights from most major cities, you’ll enjoy a better work-life balance. You’ll also be surrounded by a down-to-earth team of reliable, friendly, hard-working people - it’s not all hugs and roses, but we take your physical and mental health seriously.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Using your sound planning and organisational skills to get the job done
• Using your experience and knowledge to do the best work you can do
• Taking pride in the work you do and being an important member of a hard-working team.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Experience in the installation of drives, conveyor roller frames, head drums and pully drums
• The ability to maintain equipment and machinery: you should be able to develop a maintenance routine and procedure for every machine you assemble
• The capability to put together machines and equipment including running tests, to ensure it functions as expected

Ideally, you will also have:

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate
• A valid C Class Drivers’ Licence as a minimum.
• Working at Heights, Confined Space and Elevated Work Platform tickets
• Construction Card
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and part of a team
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and undergo a pre-employment medical
