Want a better career, a real team and an employer you trust?

Get it done at M2P

M2P was created to do engineering differently. To challenge and deliver better solutions to clients, and to take pride in a job done right. It’s worked, and now, we’re kicking on.

Today, we’re a market leader in construction, engineering and fabrication services, specialising in heavy industrial structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) projects across Australia.

We’re growing all the time, but we never forget what matters most: our people.

This is your opportunity to get stuck into good, honest work with a successful, forward-thinking business that takes care of its own.

Join us as an Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator onsite, at our project at the Carrapateena Copper mine in South Australia, and help shape a business that has its eyes on the future, with a team that has your back.

Your opportunity

As our valued onsite Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator, you will be vital to the efficient and cost-effective purchasing and distribution of materials and equipment for one of our remote construction projects.

Based onsite at the Carrapateena Copper mine in South Australia, you’ll draw on your experience and knowledge of onsite purchasing and logistics processes to ensure the effective onsite management of all consumables and tooling and onsite logistics for the life of the project.

With flights from most major cities, you’ll enjoy a better work-life balance. As this is a stand alone role, we are open to discussion with regards to the roster, which will be a balance of your preference, and meeting the demands of the project. Don't be concerned - we know it is important to have down time in your RNR - there will be site support to cover your days off. We know this as you’ll be surrounded by a down-to-earth team of reliable, friendly, hard-working people - it’s not all hugs and roses, but we take your physical and mental health seriously.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Identifying in conjunction with the onsite the project team, goods and material purchasing requirements.
  • Proactively working with suppliers to secure goods and materials and build long term relationships.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to assist with planning and coordinating onsite logistics activities.
  • Monitoring and reporting onsite based inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
  • Accurately receipting goods onsite and managing discrepancies efficiently.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in the mining or construction industry, ideally working on sites.
  • Sound understanding of purchasing, logistics, supply chain and inventory management.
  • The ability to co-ordinate materials and goods accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Proficient in procurement and logistics software and tools, ERP Systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Open Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence.

So, what can you expect from a career with us?

Well, it’s about three things:

  • Work. The way it should be. We take pride in quality work, completed to spec and on time. Things can’t always go according to plan, of course, but we’re proud to exceed expectations and deliver on what we promise.
  • Your career. The way it should be. With so many interesting projects to get stuck into, there’s ongoing work and a stable future here. Just give it a solid go, do the job well, and we’ll look after you.
  • A real team. The way it should be. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with an honest, reliable and respectful team. We’re mates looking after mates, and when the going gets tough, that’s when we step up for you the most.
