Role Description

As our Fleet and Logistics Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in managing our end-to-end owned fleet assets which continues to grow and also the logistics from our fabrication workshops to site. The role will involve fleet acquisition, maintenance, compliance, routing, and overall utilisation, using your expertise to ensure the best outcomes for our business. 

Based in our Teneriffe head office or Salisbury workshop, you’ll use your solid understanding of Fleet including maintenance methodologies to support fleet and help the business grow. You'll also be running the logistics for fleet and fabrication from our workshops to site.

Key Responsibilities

  • You’ll make an impact by:
  • Managing, directing and monitoring the condition and performance of the fleet to increase efficiency and maximise service, performance, value and profit.
  • Monitoring and analysing fleet performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Establishing replacement and renewal plans with forecast significant growth in the fleet.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the acquisition, registration, and disposal of fleet.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Utilising agreed systems to manage the fleet – operation, functions, analysis and documentation.
  • Managing the relationship with external stakeholders including Transport companies, Fleet Maintenance companies.
  • Controlling the financial management of fleet including buildup of project rates.
  • Monitoring expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities and budgeting for acquisition, maintenance, insurances and replacement.
  • Collecting and analysing data (e.g., condition, performance, costs)

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proficiency in logistics systems and software, enabling efficient scheduling.
  • Continuous improvement mindset to proactively problem solving with a solution focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Communicating with stakeholders (e.g., management, operations, finance).
  • Building relationships and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience in the engineering, construction, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Previous scheduling experience within a corporate environment
  • A track record of successful fleet and logistics coordination.
