MECHANICAL FITTER

M2P Engineering

Carrapateena, SA

Earn over $200k per annum

As our valued Mechanical Fitter, you will be vital to the success of our major mining construction project at Carrapateena in South Australia.

With options to work a 2:1 or 3:1 FIFO roster on day and or night shifts, with plenty of overtime working 12-hours per day, you can get stuck into work surrounded by a down-to-earth team of reliable, friendly, hard-working people - it’s not all hugs and roses, but we take your physical and mental health seriously.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Undertaking flange management and pump alignment tasks
  • Using your sound planning and organisational skills to get the job done
  • Using your experience and knowledge to do the best work you can do
  • Taking pride in the work you do and being an important member of a hard-working team.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Experience in the installation of drives, conveyor roller frames, head drums and pully drums
  • The ability to maintain equipment and machinery: you should be able to develop a maintenance routine and procedure for every machine you assemble
  • The capability to put together machines and equipment including running tests, to ensure it functions as expected.
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space certification completed or renewed within the last three years.
  • Elevated Work Platform high risk work licence.
  • Construction Card.

You'll also need:

  • A valid C Class Drivers’ Licence.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and undergo a pre-employment medical.
  • Experience working in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
