Brisbane, Queensland> Teneriffe
Full Time
As our valued Cost Administrator, you will play a vital part in managing project costs, supporting the commercial team, and ensuring smooth operations in contract management and client and supplier relationships. Based onsite at Teneriffe, you’ll draw on your attention to detail and administrative expertise to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.
In this newly created role, which is an introduction to traditional Contract Administrator and Cost Controller positions, you will leverage your passion for accuracy and results while driving continuous improvement in cost control processes. We are looking for a candidate with a basic understanding of contract management and claims, where you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for contract and procurement support. Industry experience is a plus, but the key is someone who is proactive, adaptable, and willing to put in the effort. You’ll be flexible, able to move the dial, and ready to take on tasks as needed.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Tracking and reporting project costs to ensure budgets are met.
- Assisting with forecasting and financial planning for ongoing projects.
- Processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims with accuracy.
- Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain cost transparency.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A basic understanding of contract management, claims, and commercial administration.
- Experience with invoicing, purchase order processing, and travel reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.
- The ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Experience in mining, oil & gas, or similar heavy industries (preferred, but not essential).
- A proactive and adaptable approach with strong administrative and commercial skills
- Experience supporting contract management, procurement, or commercial functions.
Why M2P Engineering?
We’ve come a long way since starting out in 2017.
Right from the beginning, we brought a different approach to engineering construction in the mining, industrial and marine sectors. A better way, built on smarter thinking and real care – about the job, the client and the team.
First, we punched above our weight. Now, we’re up there, toe to toe with the biggest and oldest in the industry. And we’re proud to compete and win.
So, what can you expect from a career with us?
Well, it’s about three things:
