ADP (a Lycopodium business) seeks a suitable qualified Quality Assurance Officer to join our growing team in Cape Town. Based in Cape Town and reporting to the HSEQ Manager the successful candidate will ensure quality assurance within the ADP Group of companies.

The tasks you’ll perform                                                                                     

  • Implement, administer and maintain quality assurance and practices in line with standards, group requirements and specific contractual or project requirements.
  • Facilitate the implementation of Quality in such a way as to become a quality culture in the business unit.
  • Proactively ensure project adhere to all contractual requirements by monitoring, auditing, etc. and providing training as required throughout the project life cycle.
  • Implementation and Maintenance of the applicable sectors of Quality Systems in line with Group strategies.
  • Develop project quality plans and where required Project QCP's.
  • Review contractors Quality submissions and advise on compliance with PQP.
  • Schedule project / site visits in order to conduct compliance audits for Quality systems processes.
  • Attend all client site meetings as required with reference to Quality Assurance.

The expertise you’ll bring

  • Appropriate, relevant Tertiary Qualification.
  • Qualified ISO 9001:2018 Auditor.
  • 10+ years’ proven experience in a similar role within the consulting engineering and EPCM environment.
  • Cape Town based.
  • South African Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables, within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft suite of software packages, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Demonstrate ability to and/or proficiency in the use of specific propriety software packages relevant to the design and drafting discipline.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple, varied tasks while ensuring attention to detail.

  • Demonstrate a strict practice of confidentiality, personal responsibility and discretion.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development and improvement.
